Unix Application Engineer
Position Responsibilities:
Provide client support (Banking client) and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium
• Monitoring and the application & production environment using the remote tools.(Autosys, WhatsUP professional, Tidal, BigBrother)
• Supporting Systems (AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows etc), installation and troubleshooting up to level 1
• Support to critical financial application production environment.
• Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in client computer systems at 1st Level.
• Work in 24×7 shifts as required on rotational basis.
• Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other functional groups as and when required.
Minimum 3 years industry experience in monitoring, managing and troubleshoot the system and application support on previously mentioned platform(s).
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of Systems (AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows etc), installation and troubleshooting
Position Requirements:
• Excellent understanding of monitoring and remote tools. (Autosys, WhatsUP, BigBrother)
• Basic knowledge of scripting.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Ability to promptly answer support related client emails, phone calls and other electronic communications.
• Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
• Proficient in Financial related applications support on previously mentioned platform(s) and Scripting
Exhibit strong team work qualities.
• Preferable knowledge on one or more of the following:
• UNIX
• AIX
• Windows
• Oracle
• Cache
