Tout simplement parce que l'annuaire a été inventé (ou en tout cas rendu populaire) par Sébastien Bottin (né à Grimonviller en 1764, mort à Paris en 1853) et qu'on a, par la suite, utilisé son nom pour nommer son invention tout comme pour la poubelle, le sandwich etc etc.
