Reporting Analyst - Hebrew/ Spanish/Italian speaking
Job Title:Reporting Analyst - Hebrew/ Spanish/Italian speaking
Province:Gauteng
Location:JHB - Greenstone
Type of Contract:Permanent; Full-time
Highest Secondary Education:Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
Tertiary Qualification:BCompt Accounting / BComm Financial Accounting Degree or related qualification.
Computer Literacy Level:
Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Other Software Packages:ERP System, Hyperion, Caseware.
Job-specific Requirements:
• Completed Articles.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years post-article experience.
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience of processing entries within accounting packages.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards.
• Ability to speak Hebrew/ Spanish/Italian
• Own reliable transport to and from work with a valid driver’s licence.
Added Advantages:
• Start-up experience of finance operation or Shared Service environment.
• Oracle R12 experience.
Brief Description of the Job:Analyses, review and reporting of entities results to ensure compliance, completeness and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform preliminary variance analysis and research and resolve errors relating to misallocation or under accrual.
• Prepare correcting entries and supporting documentation.
• Perform peer reviews of reporting packs and annual financial statements when required.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of results.
• Complete and submit monthly reporting packs.
• Monthly general ledger reconciliations review and follow up on outstanding items.
• Assist internal and external auditors with annual and quarterly audits.
• Ensure compliance with legislation affecting reported results, IFRS / US GAAP changes, Sarbanes Oxley.
• Assess the current procedures and processes to ensure they are efficient and reliable to deliver high quality reporting results.
• Prepare schedules as supporting documentation to general ledger reconciliations.
• Confirm all standard / routine journals, interfaces and adjustments processed prior to performing preliminary general ledger close.
• Resolve queries raised by business units, global finance and auditors (internal and external).
• Prepare and submit additional statutory and disclosure data to HFM.
• Review and maintain recurring and allocation entries on a monthly and annual basis.
• Prepare of annual financial statements.
• Prepare and submit country specific statutory reports.
• Contact point for entities that are being serviced by the shared services centre.
• Co-ordinate and lead monthly performance meetings with entities’ senior management.
