Area Logistics Manager, Unity State, South Sudan (2161)
Unity State, South Sudan - The Area Logistics Manager is responsible to oversee and manage logistics, and to design and implement systems for procurement, transport, inventory management and maintenance of emergency relief commodities. This position will provide support for all programs done by Samaritan's Purse (SP) Unity State, South Sudan.
The position will be based in Unity State, South Sudan. Samaritan's Purse serves the host community and refugee population throughout Unity State through a variety of programming including WASH, nutrition/health, food assistance and ministry. South Sudan is currently the largest field office Samaritan's Purse operates, and Unity State is one of our main areas of operation. The context is emergency relief, so the incumbent can expect a fast-paced and demanding position with significant responsibility when taking the Area Coordinator role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and the training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* One year of college-level Biblical studies preferred.
* Previous experience working overseas, particularly in Africa or Sudan.
* Possesses strong organizational and problem solving skills.
* Must be a self-starter and internally driven to success and hard work.
* Possesses strong cross cultural communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Must be a humble team player.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
* Willingness to stay in the field for extended periods.
* Knowledge of computer systems and its applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Conversant in Arabic is preferable.
12 month contract with the potential for renewal.
This is an unaccompanied assignment.
